One of the four winds, and the coldest of them. Hyacinth and lily-of-the-valley open it green and slightly soapy with orange and lemon behind, then incense, nutmeg and clove turn the middle dry and ceremonial. Opoponax, amber and cedar close it resinous. A northeast wind, and it smells like one.
