Litchi and rhubarb open it tart and juicy, with nutmeg adding a dry spice that keeps the fruit from reading as candy. Turkish rose and peony make the middle properly floral, vanilla and musk rounding the edges, and then cashmeran, cedar, Haitian vetiver and incense pull it somewhere cooler and more serious. Enveloping, as the house puts it, and it earns the word.
