Description

Aurea takes its name from the Domus Aurea, Nero’s buried golden house, where Raphael was lowered by torchlight to copy the frescoes on its walls. The perfume is nothing like that darkness: yuzu, grapefruit, lime and litchi open it sharp and glittering, myrtle, ginger, mint and juniper keep the middle green and cold, and only at the end does warmth arrive — ambergris, cedar, saffron and tonka bean. The freshest thing the house makes. Note that the brand now lists this fragrance as Auris.
