The fragrance that started the house, and still the one people mean when they say Barrois. Quentin Bisch built it around leather: saffron, black pepper and chilli open it hot and dry, violet leaf keeps the hide supple rather than tannery-harsh, and ambroxan with patchouli, sandalwood and oakmoss holds a long, sober base. The name is a fabric reference from the bespoke tailoring the house came out of. Formal, and it wears like a jacket that actually fits.
