Description
Dominique Ropion’s Cross of Asia is a white floral built without apology. Geranium opens it green and slightly rosy, a short introduction to what follows: ylang-ylang, jasmine and tuberose layered into a heart that is creamy, full and unmistakably tropical. There is no fruit and no citrus to lighten it — the flowers carry the whole composition. Amber and musk settle underneath and give the bouquet warmth and staying power. Rich and feminine, best in small quantities and at close range.
