Description
De Young Red opens on two peppers at once — pink and black — with mandarin and bergamot rounding the spice into something brighter. Shyamala Maisondieu then folds raspberry into a rose and jasmine heart, so the flowers read fruity and slightly jammy without tipping into dessert. The base does the balancing: akigalawood brings a peppery, woody dryness, sandalwood and amber add warmth, and musk holds it all close to the skin. Fruity-floral in structure but woody in the drydown, and comfortable on men and women both.
