Sea of Light

Description

Dominique Ropion working with brightness rather than depth. Lemon, mandarin and petitgrain open sharp and clean, with a bitter green edge that keeps the citrus from turning sweet. Blackcurrant and peach follow, adding just enough fruit to round it off without making it juicy. What stays is the sea: a salt-and-spray accord over white musk, dry rather than heavy, closer to skin after swimming than to a marine cliche. It wears close and reads fresh from the first spray to the last hour.
