Rose meets pomarose, a material that smells of dried fruit and rose at once, giving the heart a deep, slightly stewed quality. The base is what makes it memorable: barley, bran and sesame build a warm, toasted, almost bready accord, with tonka bean adding sweetness and vetiver and patchouli keeping it from turning soft. An oriental woody scent that reads comforting rather than loud.
