Description
Ecstasy smells like a forest floor after rain, and that is clearly the intention. Spruce, pine and a pebble accord open it cold and mineral, with no citrus and no sweetness anywhere in sight. Incense arrives in the heart alongside rose, patchouli and violet, the smoke pulling the flowers into something darker and more solemn. A soil tincture in the base makes it literally earthy, with woody notes, amber, labdanum, sandalwood and tonka bean adding resin and just enough warmth to keep it wearable. Unusual, atmospheric and best in cold weather.
