A green, almost watery opening — rhubarb and melon with citrus and sea notes — that has very little to do with the cedar in the name. Cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon warm the middle, and only in the base does the wood arrive: thuja and sandalwood with orris root keeping it powdery rather than sharp. A quiet eau de toilette from a house that made its name on florals.
