Antoine Lie grew up in Alsace surrounded by greenery, and for Ysayo he went back to that and let the result run without much intellectual editing. The house calls it l’essence du samouraï — the world of the Green Samurai: earthy greens against royal purple, raw power layered with Asian and French materials. It is the least polite thing Puredistance sells and the most unusual, and the 100 ml sits above the rest of the collection in price for a reason.
