Safran‑Neroli

Description

Safran-Neroli sets two opposite characters against each other and lets neither win. Saffron opens it — leathery, faintly medicinal, one of the most expensive materials in perfumery — with davana adding a jammy, fruity warmth that softens the spice without dulling it. Neroli lifts the heart, luminous and bitter-green, while ylang-ylang gives it a creamy, almost tropical fullness. Underneath, a black tea accord runs the whole length of the composition, dry and tannic, keeping the flowers from turning sweet. Unisex, magnetic, and easier to wear than the saffron opening suggests.
