Description
Named for the phoenix, and built like one: everything at once, then rebirth. The opening is a fruit basket — bergamot, mandarin, green apple, peach, plum, strawberry, mango and coconut with green leaves and a dew accord — bright and almost overwhelming for the first minutes. The heart is an equally full white bouquet: jasmine, magnolia, rose, lily of the valley, tuberose, orange blossom, heliotrope and orchid. Then it settles into cedarwood, patchouli and sandalwood with sugar, praline, ambergris and white musk, sweet and warm. Generous by design, and it lasts.
