Art Deco Majestic Amber

Description

The Majestic Amber is part of the Art Deco line, launched to mark the centenary of the movement. Grapefruit and peach open it bright and juicy, gourmand rather than sharp. Rose fills the heart — the classic oriental rose, generous and slightly jammy — with davana adding a fruity, almost boozy warmth and tonka bean rounding the edges. The base is where the name is earned: amber and ambroxan with vanilla, patchouli and toffee, sweet and resinous without turning sticky. The bottle, gold with geometric openwork, is as much of the point as the fragrance. Feminine, opulent and made for cold weather.
