Description
The Majestic Oud starts nothing like an oud fragrance. Bergamot, lemon, blackcurrant, raspberry, apple and melon open it fresh and fruity, light enough to be mistaken for something summery. Sage and patchouli form a short, dark heart — herbal and earthy — and pull the composition down toward its real subject. Amber, musk and oud make up the base, resinous and warm, with the oud used for depth rather than for shock. The deep black bottle with Art Deco openwork suits it. Soft at the start, powerful by the drydown, and easier to wear than most oud.
