Dolce Passione opens on honey, thick and golden, with dark chocolate arriving almost immediately underneath it. The heart is fruit and cocoa together — plum and strawberry against the chocolate, vanilla rounding off the edges — and the base is the part nobody expects: white truffle with tonka bean, earthy and faintly savoury where everything above it is sweet. A gourmand that refuses to be merely sugary, and much the better for it.
