Tolu balsam is a resin tapped from a South American tree — sweet, faintly medicinal, and the whole composition rests on it, with tonka bean, golden frankincense and amber beside it and orchid, geranium and lily-of-the-valley above. A 280 g candle with a lid, which keeps the wax scented between burnings.
