Louban is the Arabic name for frankincense, and the resin runs through the whole composition. Rose and oud carry it, incense and olibanum keep it dry and slightly smoky, and violet leaf adds a green sharpness. Patchouli, sandalwood and musk settle it into something ceremonial.
