Musc Ambre Gris

Description

Musc-Ambre Gris starts where most fragrances end. There is no citrus opening: ambergris and black musk arrive immediately, salty, animalic and close to the skin — ambergris behaving the way it does in life rather than on a note list. White truffle makes up the heart on its own, earthy and mineral with a savoury edge, a material almost nobody uses in perfumery, and it gives the musk a strange damp depth. Yerba mate, patchouli and Haitian vetiver close it dry and green. Built from the base upward, as the whole Affinessence collection is, and it wears very close for a very long time.
