Description
Olivier Pescheux opens Empower You with an unusually broad citrus accord — yellow mandarin, blood orange, grapefruit, bergamot and lemon together, with cassis and ginger cutting through the sweetness. The heart turns properly floral: orange blossom, Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac and geranium, generous but never soapy. Then it changes character completely. Cedar, patchouli, incense and oud give the drydown a smoky, resinous weight that has nothing to do with the bright opening. A chypre that travels a long distance from start to finish.
