Description
Pura Essenza opens on jasmine with Sichuan pepper and red berries — floral and tingling at once, the Sichuan pepper giving a numbing, citric buzz that ordinary pepper does not. Leather and styrax fill the heart, warm and balsamic, with an edible sweetness underneath that keeps the leather from turning severe. Benzoin, agarwood and musk close it resinous and dense. Named for the unicorn and built as the softest of the mythological set — spiritual rather than aggressive, but far from light.
