Dalia Izem set two forces against each other here and refused to let either win. On one side the oriental half: dried fruits and spices folded into amber, warm and opulent. On the other the dark half: tobacco with patchouli and precious woods, dry and sophisticated. The composition keeps swinging between them rather than resolving, which is the whole idea — a rivalry that turns into balance. Rich, and built for cold weather.
