Nashi pear and Chinese citrus open it crisp and watery — the pear is the point, more delicate and less sugary than a European one — with green tea leaves adding a dry, tannic edge. Ginger and Sichuan pepper heat the heart, the Sichuan giving that particular numbing tingle, while osmanthus brings an apricot-skin softness. Sandalwood, light incense and white musk close it quiet and clean. Precise and understated.
