Marzia Tissino opens Sillage on something genuinely odd — celery and juniper berries against orange and bergamot, green and bitter where you expect only citrus. The heart turns comforting: hazelnut and tonka bean with leather cutting through the sweetness, and the drydown is vetiver and vanilla under woody notes and amber. Named for the trail a perfume leaves, and it does exactly that — the scent stays in a room after you have left it.
