Wild Rose Aoud puts the flower first and the wood second. Bergamot and lemon open it briefly, then a Turkey red rose takes over — opulent, honeyed, widened by Egyptian jasmine with patchouli holding it down. Agarwood arrives late and stays subtle, working with musk, amber and vanilla pod to warm the rose rather than smother it. For anyone who finds most rose-oud compositions too heavy on the oud.
