Description
Arethusa carries more materials than most fragrances need, and somehow stays legible. Orange, ginger, plum, fig and pink grapefruit open it bright and slightly resinous, red sandalwood underneath. The heart turns richer — pomegranate, heather, jasmine, rose, saffron and orange blossom — fruity and floral at once. What makes it unusual is the base: sea water, salt and sand alongside vetiver, leather, patchouli and liquidambar, so the drydown reads mineral and dry rather than sweet.
