Description
Bilbao on a working morning: coffee and warm bread from a bar on the corner, sweet tobacco drifting out of the doorway. Fig leaf, cut grass and peony bring the green of the riverbank, damp and alive. Underneath is the city itself — a cold steel accord for the titanium of the Guggenheim, with moss, oak and wet stone for everything older than it.
